The U.S. government is expected to announce a probe into whether Russia interfered in the U.N. General Assembly vote on Wednesday, U.K. officials said on Monday.
The Trump administration is expected on Tuesday to announce the findings of a review into whether Moscow tried to undermine the vote.
U.M. Ambassador Mark Lyall Grant told reporters on Monday that the Trump administration would take a full-scale review of the Russian campaign against the U.-N.
Grant said the review would be conducted by U.G. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
Grant’s comments came after British Prime Minister Theresa May called for an independent investigation of the alleged interference in the General Assembly election.
