With LinkedIn in hot demand as the online job board, Facebook has come up with a way to give people the most helpful career advice.
And they’ve got a new twist on the social network’s social network tools.

“We really want to build a platform where people can share their stories and be able to ask questions.”
For the job seekers out there who might be struggling with finding the right career, Facebook is providing a list of jobs with a LinkedIn profile, and a job posting with the job title of “job hunting” and a link to the official job listing.
If you find yourself in need of some advice on your career, this could be the place.
“If you’ve got any questions, we’ve got some questions for you,” Chaykins said.
The company also said that if you’re searching for a job, you can also use the search function on the official Facebook job listing, but it’s also asking for you to upload photos, or even embed videos, so you can share with your friends.
“You can share a video of you on a different job board that you’re looking for and get the same feedback and have more people to listen to you and see what you have to say,” Chaikin said.
“We want people to be able [to] share their experiences, and we’re just trying to make it as easy as possible for people to get in touch.”
Facebook is also introducing a “Live Listening” feature that will allow you to listen as a group to the job search in real-time and then share your feedback with your network, as well as to other people in your network.
“One of the biggest challenges in hiring is just knowing when it’s appropriate to ask people what they need and not what they have,” Charykin said, adding that the live listening feature allows Facebook to quickly see how people are responding to the questions.
While Chaylin is still working on the livelistening feature, it’s already looking good for the company.
“It’s definitely working,” he said.
“So far, we’re getting good feedback.”
While it sounds like the new tools will help people find a job faster, Facebook says they are also offering “real-time” feedback that can help you improve your job search.
“If you’re working on a specific job, and you need some feedback on your specific job,” Chayan said, “we’re really excited to give you that feedback.
We’re actually working on it right now.”
Chaykin says that the new features are still a work in progress, and that there are a few bugs.
For example, there’s currently no way to share a link on LinkedIn with your own LinkedIn profile.
There are also issues with how the company keeps track of who’s using the tools, and when a user’s profile is deleted.
Chaykins told Tech Crunch that Facebook has been testing the new livelistener feature since April, but he said that it will eventually roll out to everyone.
“I think we’ll have it out in June or July or so, maybe August,” he joked.
While the company is rolling out new tools to help users find a new job faster and easier, Chayks also admitted that it’s a work-in-progress.
“The idea is to really make sure we can get this out in as little time as possible,” he told Tech Insider.
“There’s a lot of stuff that we’re still working through.
We’ll be rolling it out over the next few months.”
